Twice a year, and it just works
Heating checked in the fall, cooling cleaned in the spring. Most breakdowns we see start as something a yearly visit would have caught.
Your system's year
Book before the rush: the first cold week and the first heat wave are when everyone calls at once.
March to May
AC cleaning
Coils cleaned, drain cleared, refrigerant and electrical parts checked before you need the cold air.
Summer
Keep it clear
Keep plants and leaves a foot or two from the outdoor unit, and change the filter every month or two.
September to November
Heating check
Boiler or furnace cleaned and tested, burner and safety controls checked, pressure set, before the cold comes.
Winter
Watch for signs
Banging pipes, pressure dropping, a burner that clicks without lighting: call early, before it stops.
Why it's worth it
- Fewer breakdowns: worn parts get replaced on a calm day, not on the coldest night.
- Lower bills: clean coils and a tuned burner use less energy for the same comfort.
- Safer: we check the flame, the venting and the safety switches every time.
- Longer life: boilers, furnaces and condensers that get looked after simply last longer.
