Cool air that actually feels cool
Central AC, heat pumps and mini-splits. We repair them, clean them and put in new ones, across Westchester, Rockland, the Bronx and Stamford–Greenwich.
Central AC and heat pumps
An AC that hums but doesn't cool usually has a reason you can see: a dirty coil, a tired capacitor, low refrigerant. We find it and fix it. A heat pump does the same job in summer and heats your home in winter, so it's worth keeping in shape all year.
- Repairs: warm air, no start, short cycling, ice on the lines, water leaks
- Seasonal service: cleaned and checked before the hot days
- New systems sized for your home, including energy-efficient heat pumps
Mini-splits, one room or the whole house
No ducts needed: a quiet unit on the wall inside, a small one outside. Good for an apartment, an attic room or a whole house with a multi-split.
- Installation of single and multi-split systems
- Deep cleaning of the indoor units, so they stop smelling and blow strong again
- Repairs on units that blink, leak or stopped cooling
Condensers, coils and ductwork
This is the part we like most. A clean coil and good ducts make the same system cool faster and cost less to run.
- Condensers and coils: deep cleaning and straightened fins
- Sealed systems: leaks found and repaired, refrigerant charged right
- Ductwork laid out and sealed for good airflow in every room
- Window and through-the-wall units: cleaned and tuned up too
AC not cooling? Check these first
Sometimes it's something small. A few safe checks before you call.
1. The thermostat. Is it set to Cool, and a few degrees below the room? If it has batteries and the screen is blank, change them.
2. The power. Look for a tripped breaker, and check the switch box on the wall next to the outdoor unit.
3. The filter. A clogged filter chokes the airflow. Swap it if it's grey and full.
4. The outdoor unit. Clear away leaves, grass and anything stacked against it.
5. Ice on the pipes? Turn the AC off and let it thaw. Running it frozen can damage it.
